Our Pilates Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive Pilates education integrated with therapeutic anatomy and a holistic understanding of movement – that includes 450 hours of dedicated study.
Our Pilates teacher training is not simply about memorizing exercises. A comprehensive training allows students to develop the depth of understanding necessary to teach safely and effectively.
This program includes extensive practice, observation, and hands-on teaching experience, allowing students to embody the work rather than simply learning it intellectually.
• Individuals who want to become certified Pilates instructors
• Pilates practitioners who want a deeper understanding of the method
• Yoga or fitness instructors expanding their skillset
• Bodyworkers, therapists, and health professionals
• Anyone passionate about movement, anatomy, and mindful exercise
• 450-hour comprehensive curriculum
• Individualized group training for personalized instruction
• Two weekends per month format
• Weekly Open Practice & Q&A sessions
• Teacher track and non-teacher track options
• Hands-on learning with professional equipment
• Mentorship and guidance throughout the program
This training is rooted in the classical Pilates tradition through the education of Rael Isacowitz, founder of BASI Pilates, one of the most respected Pilates education organizations in the world.
Beyond learning exercises, students develop a deeper awareness of how the body moves and adapts. The training integrates movement science with a holistic understanding of the body–mind relationship.
Instructor Yuki Yoshii is a Neuromuscular Therapist with a Master’s degree in Holistic Health Education, bringing a strong anatomical and therapeutic perspective to the Pilates method.
With almost 20 years of teaching experience, Yuki guides students to not only understand the Pilates repertoire but also to observe movement patterns, work with different bodies, and teach with clarity and confidence.
This program emphasizes learning through practice, observation, and teaching experience so students develop embodied knowledge rather than memorized instruction.
• The full Pilates repertoire across major apparatus
• How to analyze posture and movement patterns
• Functional anatomy and movement biomechanics
• Effective cueing and teaching techniques
• How to modify exercises for different bodies
• How to structure safe and intelligent sessions
• How to develop confidence as a Pilates instructor

Yuki Yoshii began his movement journey as a professional dancer in Tokyo, where his curiosity about the body and injury prevention led him to discover Pilates after experiencing a bulging disc.
He later trained under Rael Isacowitz, founder of BASI Pilates, one of the most respected Pilates education organizations in the world. His first Pilates teacher was Kristi Cooper, founder of Pilates Anytime, the #1 online Pilates platform globally. Over the years, Yuki’s dedication to understanding the human body led him to pursue advanced education in neuromuscular therapy and holistic health, earning a Master’s degree in Holistic Health Education. He was also invited to serve as a model for the internationally published Pilates Anatomy, a book now used by Pilates teachers around the world.
With nearly two decades of teaching experience, Yuki integrates classical Pilates training, therapeutic anatomy, and a holistic perspective on movement, helping students develop both technical skill and embodied awareness in their practice and teaching.
I take this opportunity to wish Yuki every success in the world. Yuki has been a student of mine on several courses and agreed to be a model for Pilates Anatomy, authored by Karen Clippinger and I. Yuki is a wonderful mover and brings to the work professionalism and seriousness, and at the same time compassion, humor and a warm Energy. Anyone that chooses to study with Yuki, I am certain, will enjoy and benefit from the process as much as I have enjoyed being Yuki’s teacher and mentor.
– Rael Isacowitz, MA / BASI Pilates®, Founder & CEO
I met Yuki when he came up from LA to take my class several years ago. I was impressed right away. Yuki was a teacher in training at the time and it was rare and delightful to see someone at that stage with such good technique and obvious passion for the work. The fact that he is a man made it all the more rare and special. Over the years, I have had the chance to work with Yuki privately and study alongside him in workshops. I see that his commitment to Pilates, both for himself and as a teacher has grown right along with his talent.
– Kristi Cooper / Co-Founder of Pilates Anytime Inc. / BASI Principal Facility
